Ok I will make it simple. Next month is 1 year for my 4G AWD. I have barely 1300 miles on it. 80% oil life right now. Change it? Do full break in until oil change indicator comes on? I was thinking of just leaving it. I am concerned though because I currently am not driving and probably wont have more than 2500 miles by end of year. 1300 miles seems like a waste to change it, especially if it is the so called "break in" oil?

The manual says to follow the MID or change at 1 year, whichever comes first.

change it...dirty motor oil can turn acidic after a year....why did you buy such an expensive car only to drive it 100 miles a month...

I only made 3000 miles by the one year point. I did a oil change then with more break-in oil. It won't damage you cat-converter unless you rack up many more miles on it. When you get there, switch to a recommended oil like everyone else, but just one or two oil changes later. But based on your use, it will probably still be thousands of miles sooners than most.

it just seems weird that your car choice would be a tl....if i was only driving 100 miles a month, i would get a 911 turbo, since thats what i can afford...

anyways, change your oil once a year, i would keep your batter hooked up to a battery tender at all times...
