Quick question on the OEM exhaust on the 4g wanted to know if it was stainless steel for the most part as the 3G was. From what I remember the piping and mid muffler and 2 rears were all stainless steel. My 06 exhaust looked flawless after 11 Canadian winters and was all original. Does the 4g have the same set up of stainless steel?

more than likely it's going to be the same since OEM parts have to be made to stand up to years of abuse such as salted roads vs aftermarket parts.

I bought my TL with a muffler delete. Its starting to get annoyingly loud. Anyone have suggestions other than XLR8 or OEM (both are very expensive). Can exhaust shops put in universal or magnaflow mufflers without much work?

I'm almost positive that the 4G also uses stainless steel on the exhaust system.

Yeah just about any muffler shop can help you out with a cheap option i'm sure. If you don't like the first quote or two try again. Adding a cheap aftermarket muffler shouldn't be much, but it also might not sound great and it could very well look bad. You could try to keep it short so the muffler is "hidden". It will be quiter though.

I had my '99 Integra for 13 years with the original exhaust system and no issues driving every day in the GTA/southern Ontario.
Now we have a 2010 TL 3.5L and I assume the exhaust is there for the life of the vehicle.
This is a far cry from the old days when cars rusted out in 3 or 4 years and you had to buy a new muffler every couple.
Folks who talk glowingly of the cars of the past are full of baloney! Or nostalgia?
The cars of the '60s and '70s were crap.
