new SH-AWD owner in Michigan
Hello all,
I recently purchased a white 2010 TL SH-AWD with a manual transmission. After watching ads for a few weeks, one came up that was decently priced, and only a mere 9 hours away. The car was on the lot for a mere business day.
The car drove fantastically even with 130k miles. I bought it and drove straight back to work.
What drew me to the car was AWD, reliability, comfort, and a manual transmission. On the short list of other cars I was considering were a Toyota FJ cruiser, Porsche Cayenne, or an Audi. Reliability ended up winning the Acura as the manual transmission FJ have issues with the throwout bearing and the Audi's and Porsche's were more question marks in the reliability department.
Loving the car so far!
Couple questions
1) With 130k miles and a limited carfax report, what issues should I be on the lookout for?
2) From my Juke, I have snow tires that are 225/45/18. My research seems mixed if it will fit the 18x8 stock Acura wheels.

The inconvenient truth
Welcome, that SH-AWD going to do work this winter!
I would just change all the fluids (engine oil, transfer case, transmission, rear diff) and make sure the 105K service was done.

Thanks for the input. I’m usually a diy’er so I’ll have to do some research on how to change those out. Carfax looks like it had service around the 105k mark. With the first big snowfall today, the car did great! And I haven’t figured out how to change the title of this thread... oops

Welcome to the forums.
Since this is a topic/technical issue which will require replies, and not a "New Member Introduction", I moved this thread to the model specific forum.
I also fixed the title.
And removed the question about the juke. If you don't know why I removed it send me a PM and I'll explain it further.

Adding a bunch of miles and this forum has been helpful!
i added a 12 subwoofer to the back, added a bunch of sound deadener, lightly tinted the windows, changed spark plugs, and got the timing belt service done. I’m looking to chang the tranny fluid to the synrchomesh, change the transfer case and rear diff, and add a new serpentine belt/pulley/tensioner.
My commute is so much more comfortable than my juke!
