New to me 2010 TL SH-AWD

I recently purchased a 2010 TL from the dealer. 48000 miles one owner. I have all the service records from the dealer. I’m kind of freaking out after reading about the oil consumption issue with the 3.7 engine. Should I be worried? Should I just keep an eye on the dipstick in any particular interval and hope for the best? I really love the car and would hate to part with it.

Thank you for your opinions!

Some of the 3.7s use more oil than others. You won't know until you put some miles on it. I bought my car with about 27k miles on it. The car has about 39k on it now and has used 2 quarts by the time the oil needed to be changed (about 5.5k for me). Used the same amount between both oil changes it's had since I've owned it. I don't mind adding 2 quarts for that mileage. Keep an eye on the oil level and enjoy the car.

Low mileage on mine but no oil consumption issues yet. Like you mentioned, keep an eye on the Dipstick to monitor it.

The owners manual says to check the oil level once for every tank of gas. Not going to lie mine does burn more oil than I would like. But I still enjoy the crap out of it every day.
