Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here in a long time.

I'd like to replace the front grille on my 2011 TL with a good quality aftermarket grill (If one exists and isn't crazy expensive). When I bought my car new I had the dealer paint all parts of the front grille to match the rest of the car (black). I was advised that the grille is technically not meant to be painted and will eventually chip. They were correct and I had the grille repainted about 3 years ago. The other day, my neighbor was nice enough to hit my car while pulling into her spot and damaged the front right fender and the right side of the front bumper. Since the car is going to get fixed, now is a good time to replace the grille if there are good options for me. If not, I will just repaint it AGAIN. Since the bodyshop is giving me a good CASH price I will also have them repaint the hood and the front left fender too.

every other grill is ugly for the 09-11 besides painting it..

unless you want to pay for a RONJON grill then yea thats like 1k..

i would do a 12+ front conversion

I was in the same boat too. A school bus hit my car and I was able to get my insurance to paint the grill. I had paid for it a while ago and it was just sitting at the office. You have options for sure.

Hey I have a 2009 TL and my OEM grill flew off on the highway last night. Will the 2012 grill fit to my car??

well, that depends on why it flew off in the first place lol

1) ^ ...this. How did it just fly off on the highway? They're held in with 4 bolts in the radiator frame, and 6 plastic push clips into the bumper... I'm impressed lol

2) Nope. The shape is completely different, so unless you have a 2012-2014 bumper too, a 2012-2014 grille won't fit on a 2009-2011 bumper.

if your original bumper is broken, which caused the grille to fly off....
then as Riboflavin suggested, buy a new 2012-2014 bumper and it's associated accessories like the grille and fogs
