"The front-wheel-drive TL Special Edition features distinctive 10-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels, a color-matched deck lid spoiler and trunk-mounted Special Edition badging. Standard keyless access with pushbutton start adds convenience and ease of use"

Most of the above should have been standard on the base...

The system identifies which of the two supplied fobs is in use each time the driver’s door is opened (even if it is already unlocked), and then automatically sets the driver’s seat, steering wheel, outside mirrors, climate control and audio system (including audio system presets) to a profile preset by the driver using that fob.

Are finally offering the memory steering on the TL, that would be great as i always thought this feature was needed for a car in this price range.

The fob features were already part of the tech package, don't know about the steering wheel memory however, as the TL didn't have a power steering column, did they finally add that? Maybe a 2012 MMC add on and I missed it.

whats with the lack of wheel gap? I want a sport spring/damper combo like the honda HFP products. Civic Si you could get a spring/strut combo that lowered an inch and had a much tighter drive/less body roll. It was a great package.

Just like all other Honda/Acura "Special Edition" trims - purely cosmetic add-ons.

Don't believe so. The steering wheel is manually adjustable and not electrically adjustable. Memory steering only works on electrically adjustable steering wheels.

I guess this pretty much confirms that the new 'TLX' wont arrive until 2015 as i dont really see them doing these upgrages for only six months life span

This is a way to get some people that want keyless entry and start, some nicer wheels and still have an attractive price point.

I have set my steering wheel once, when I first got it.. and have not moved it in 2 years.. but for multiple drivers... good question

^^ LMAO....You just beat me to it by like 5 minutes!! I was going to say the exact same thing. If I had to re-adjust my steering wheel, I would have to open my owner's manual or ask you guys on how to do it *lmao*

On a separate note, this TL looks pretty good although nothing overly different (visually) except for the wheels, which for me, don't do much. I like the simple 5 spoke design of the 18 inch rims on my current TL but again, this is purely a subjective thing.

With the approach of the new TLX release, it will be so interesting to see how the new design will be accepted but most importantly, how people are going to feel about the 4G after the 5G (or 1G TLX) is released. I am almost positive that many will come here wishing the design of the 5G would have been evolutionary and how we miss the bold design of the 4G over this new design *lol* In other words, will the 4G become the next 3G? Time will tell but I would love to have a Time Capsule and read back these words in about 1 year from now

^^ Less bold is OK if it is well executed and still sexy. I want a nice aggressive design, something that has some character without having to be too polarizing. An example of a nice design is the Audi RS4 or the S5...nothing too funky but so sexy

I don't think so - hasn't a "special edition" accord always been followed w/ the the next generation model every time ?

I hope I'm wrong but the trend w/ the new RDX, RLX, ILX shapes - I don't think the TLX will be a bold or aggressive design - I think Acura is afraid to try bold or aggressive designs (after the reaction to the 09 TL grill)
-the new Acura design language is "safe"

It's not a bad idea as long as the price point is decent. It would have been nice for them to include the BSI and vented seats as well.. Advanced Special

Bullshit sales/marketing attempt.

I can't believe people still fall for this crap. But hey, people still think there is a difference between Republicans and Democrats too.

The production release of this special edition wont have the nice 2" drop that the doctored up photos have. They always make the car look 3x better in the press release than what actually shows up in person.

When I was getting our TL serviced a few weeks ago there was a California TL in the showroom. It did look really sharp, mostly due to the nice wheels and the bumper/underbody package but otherwise there was no difference that I could discern--except the price tag with was $50k+ if I recall.

Idk, in my opinion its not a bad deal. $1500 for better wheels, keyless entry, decklid lip etc.

Certainly not "special", but its a decent option group.

Is this for 2014? It isn't an option on the 2013 TL "Build & Price" section on Acura.com.
