MT shift points
Was wondering at what RPM you guys switch gears. I like to keep the engine reving at a minimum of 2500rpm so it dosen't put some strain on the engine. I usually shift at around 3000 to 3500 rpm.
How about you guys?

Depends
I'd say usually I shift around 2500, maybe lower - but that's commuting to work and trying keep gas mileage high(er).
If im accelerating on to the highway, I'm closer to 3500+
if im having fun... well, the vtec doesn't switch cams until almost 4800...

To be quite honest, there really is no such a thing as an optimal shift point; if you're tooling around town upshifting might happen as early as 2,300 RPMs, moderately accelerating up to highway speeds might mean a 3,500-4,000 RPM shift, and if you're balls to the wall, then shift at redline.
