Hey AZners...

Pardon if this topic been discussed... also, my english is not great but let me try to explain.

I wanted to make my 4G TL fog lights turn on with "corner lights/parking", while headlights off, even bought HID kit. Visited my friend who's doing anything what relates to electric portion for any car model. After 20 mins doing research and trying different things, he said it's impossible since everything being controlled by brain/main computer. However, he mentioned maybe do-able if extra relays + bunch of wiring ran. A little upset but want to know if someone has done similar.

FYI... I have done the same on my 2G & 3G TL's....

it can be done, just use relay and wire it independently with a switch.. i have seen it done before but have not seen it done where it would turn on with the oem headlight switch.

just wire it independently.

Couldn't you run it like pots mentioned and then tap into the corners for it to come on with your parking lights?

Yeah, instead of the switch activating the relay a hot wire from the headlight will trigger the fogs. Simple to do

you can make your own harness to run independent of the OEM fog wiring which comes with a switch, and you can wire it to a hot fuse inside the car near the driver foot well fuse box.

I plan to fix mine to have this capability so I dont have to keep remembering to turn off the lights.

superbrightleds.com sells a wiring harness with relay.

Why is it important to have it on an independent switch when the fog lights are already switched? I've wired previous cars' fog lights to the running lights and I don't see why we can't with the TL.

you can, it just gotta be custom wired.

id rather pay 20 bucks for a relay then to cut up my oem harness.
