Angry Looks like the manual TL is going to be 5 speed too

This sucks manual is going to be 5-speed too
This is specs posted by Corporate Honda and it looks like the manual is also a 5-speed. They also states for Type S also. Im really finding this hard to belive. Now whats going to be the point of getting the manual transmission if both transmissions are 5 gears?

Do any of you guys think this is a huge typographical error?

I really hope this is a typographical error on their end.

Here is the link if some of you want to see for yourselves http://corporate.honda.com/press/article.aspx?id=4674

Of course it is, the ratios are identical and since the MT won't be out for a year, there is no reason to post this. AHM doesn't even have a 5-MT that can handle this kind of power...

What you're referring to doesn't exist at the link you gave us. Acura mentions a manual in a year and there's no other information at this time.

^what he said

I doubt it'll be a 5-speed, especially since the gear ratios are all the same except for the final drive. Why would they be?

At the end of the following video, the Acura engineer mentions the manual will be a 6-speed (very end of the video) :

At the end of the 25 minute video (posted in a different thread), the Acura engineer confirms that there will be a 6-spd manual in 2010 on the SH-AWD model.
