What did the dealer say about it? I haven't seen the kit for the 4G, the 3G kit was about $800 painted and I installed it.

I plan to get a '12 and have the dealer install it. that way, if there is any problems, they will fix it.

830$ + 400$ (paint job) + 400$ (installation) = 1630$

1575$ is a good price

830 shipped and painted...

installed myself.. which was straight forward.. if you cant install a lip kit, you shouldn't be modifying your car at all. there are instructions and you need is a drill, screw driver, and a dremel to do the work.. oh and a helping hand.

saved myself 700 bux and getting the experience by doing it myself. you cant fk up with instructions.

It's your money and your car. Do what you want to do.

Without a garage, it's very hard to do.. you need a floor jack, jack stands... for starters.

I have a garage but wil pay the dealer to install mine this time! I did my own on the 3G.. been there, done that.. not again!

its really that hard? ive done it on a 3g and it was pretty straight forward.. and i dont think you need to put your car on jack stands.. ive done it without even lifting my car.

but yeah, if you have the dough, then pay dealer to do it, but i see my extra 600+ to be invested in somewhere else.

It's a lot easier if you can lift it up, for sure. Taking the bumber off can be scary for some folks.

When I did my 3G, it was scary to pull hard on the bumper but I had watche a few DIY videos on here that showed where each bolt was located, that made life much easier.
