LED DRLs - Build My Own Decoder
I have a 2010 Acura TL, and I want to install LED DRLs.
I have extensively read and do understand the principals of DRL errors and modules/decoders to correct.
I am looking for a diagram of the DRL system for 2009+ TL
or
Information on how to create my own harness with 25 ohm 25 watt load resistors and a 12V relay.
I found a diagram in the 3rd gen section, but I seem to recall reading the 2009+ are wired differently.
Thanks in advance for the help

I don't quite understand the above 3G diagram.
How is the 12V relay switched ? What gets connected to what when the relay is switched to either position ?

Yes, the relay is there to run the lights at full power.
The apparent hurdle I found was using 6v+ from DRL circuit will not hold relay open.
I believe there are a couple of methods used to step up voltage, however, I decided to install the lights without using the relay. I decided they are bright enough for my taste.
I noticed the DRL error, and installed a 6 ohm 25 watt resistor in parallel behind each plug. This eliminated the error.
Thank you guys for the responses. I hope others will find this post and realize no special decoder is necessary.

Meant to say,
The 6v+ is not enough voltage to keep contact closed.

um.. glad you went that way.. as you know if you use your method you will completely loose the function of highbeams as it no longer exist.. which to me sounds pointless.
run the resistors, and let it run at 30% its fine, i have it, some of the members have it.. so it should be fine.

I guess you fully understand the above 3G connection diagram.
Don't worry about the '12 setup for now.
Let say for the '09-'11 setup, what gets connected to what when the relay is (1) open and (2) close ?

No need for all that trouble. I'm just question the validity of the 3G connection diagram in post#2 above. It doesn't look like it will work properly at all.
