LED DRL Options
Hey guys,
I don't post often but I am always lurking around and searching for the great threads we have in here. I've been recently wanting to do a custom LED setup for DRL's and turn signals. I am stuck with two options and I'm not sure what will look best.
The problem I am having is that I don't know how I would want the LED's to function based on the decision picked above, because I don't want to remove the original turn signal.
I have the ability to make the LEDs white and amber (function like switchbacks) but not sure how that would look with the turn signals being on. I can turn the signals to switchback bulbs also to match the LEDs, again not sure.
Do you guys have any input?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks much!!

I love LED DRLs, BUT only factory installed, almost every add on I have seen looks just like that, an add on that does not flow with the cars original design. But that is my opinion. Personally I do not like either option. As stated, go with the 1157 switch backs or some other LED replacement for the stock bulbs.

I like the crispness of individual LED lights. Switchbacks do not accomplish this look, it still looks like a bulb in the OEM turn signal light housing.
I have been reading a few threads. I might just tape off the part of the bulbs so it only functions as a turn signal and have the LED's always be on. I might start with this.
The other option would be to stop the entire function of the oem turn signal and have the LED setup accomplish both.
This would all be done with the left side of the pic. I am still undecided which one of the two pics would look good. The choice would depend on the functionality I'm trying to achieve.
