Smile Key Cover

I been looking for a fob cover for my Acura - dont understand how Acura gives cheaply painted keys with a "luxury" car.

Anyways, there was no rubber cover as I had for my Honda Accord... I found out, but was not happy with how it looked. So after searching few times, I came across this puppies and well I am pretty happy with them.

I changed the pin (same pin as the fake "carbon fiber" look cover that is too big!) in comes as it looks pretty fragile and used the triangle ring the fob's came with.

I have the same same fobs. Bought them about a year. I hang the key from my belt loop and found that the triangle key ring that comes with the OE key opens quite easily. Just a word of caution.

I need something like this! My key fob is taking a beating. Where'd you buy the cover from?

Is there a link to OPs version? The ones I'm finding on Ebay look like knockoffs?

My key is always in my pocket-- what's the need for a protective cover? It seems like the plastic is more slippery than leather and would be harder to take in and out of your pocket.

Well if that is the only you carry in your pocket, GREAT for you. In the otherhand, I tend to put lots of things of my pocket as the day goes by -- e.g coins, other keys, etc. --- with that said, i notice those things scratching my keys. Also, this cover its not harder to remove at all.

Thanks! Those pics don't look like yours but maybe they just can't show the Acura symbol on their page. Getting one.

That looks nice! Wish it was black - I like the fact it covers the entire FOB.

If cows knew that we used their bodies for things like this, I'm certain they would rise up against us. I know I would.

This is what I use for mines. It's not a exact fit, but I kinda like it since it covers the fob entirely. OP's case from picture 2-4, you can see the exposed corner of the fob, so a drop can still scratch it.

yeah, those covers in the first post are only $2.99. They ship from China, so it takes a good month. I went ahead and ordered three. cut out a hole in the middle so i can feel where the unlock and lock buttons are without taking it out of my pocket. also found a cool little acura steering wheel to add to it. check it out:

I have tried this before

but the inner part of the hook where you press to close the cover, will scratch your acura key.

I'll get a photo of hows mine sitting. That back side of the button is at the top of the holder and doesn't even contact my remote since the case is like 1/2" longer in length than the remote.

This case wouldn't be great for those that doesn't have the keyless entry/lock though.

Yea, I just noticed that the one that i have tried is slightly different. The button location was centered.

I'm surprised Acura doesn't sell their own brand with a perfect fit. I wouldn't say it's just Acura's cheaply painted keys... my boyfriend's BMW key fob doesn't even have the logo on it anymore. Ours have a lot of silver so it's going to scratch and wear. I wouldn't mind getting a leather case for it.
