Question Installation of the Front Underbody Spoiler???

Has anyone installed one of these by yourself? Is it an easy do it yourself job or should I have a dealer do it? My dealer is an hour away so I really hate having to take it there and pay them for something I may be able to do myself. Thanks in advance for any input.

I would not say that it's an easy job but certainly do-able with help. On my 3G as with the 4G, the bumper should be removed though some have been able to do it without removing it but need nimble fingers and hands because you have to drill a hole in the bumper and where th ehole is to be drilled is not easy to reach while on the car.

I did the 3G install by myself but sure would have been easier with help! If you are handy with DIY, have the tools and jack/jackstands.. go for it!

i thought it was easy.. just drill like 4 holes in bumper, drill, and put bolt on.. it took me literally 20 mins to put it on and fully bolt on the bumper..

its not hard if you follow the instructions, in fact, i let my younger brother which is 16 to help me drill these holes i marked. he also helped me put it back on the car.

i actually didn't even drill any holes in my bumpers. I just used some double sided tape and slapped it right on. The front fits amazing. For the back...drilling may be better as I have small gaps on each side (right behind the wheel). The curvature is too much for the taped that I bought.

You HAVE to drill the holes, those plastic zip tie clips will just resist a correct installation until they go through the drilled holes.

If that doesn't work, epoxy a bolt on, then you can use a wing nut on the other side.

You can order those ziptie things from the dealership.
