I am about to wrap the roof but i don't know how to take off the antenna to work on the roof easier

Remove the rear dome light (the plastic lens pops out using a flat head screwdriver).
Pull off the third brake light (it's just snapped on with no screws).
Carefully pull the rear of the headliner to unsnap it.
Unclip the antenna plug for it's harness (it will be on your left when you're facing the rear window.).
There's only one nut holding the antenna to the car. I found it easier to unscrew the antenna from the dome light hole.

^ yep. I didn't need to pull off the third brake light or unsnap the headliner, but it would have made life a lot easier to get the connector plugged back in. Otherwise, you're stuck using 2 fingers to blindly guide the connector into the socket because there's not much space under there for a full fist.

Once you've removed the rear dome light and gotten under the headliner, the single 17mm bolt is about 6-8 inches toward the rear.

It's exactly like cyborgcnc's second post. It's pretty easy. I just put painters tape on the end of the flat head screw driver so if it slips, it doesn't scratch the cover.
