How do you clean contrast stitching?!

I have 2012 Advance Sh-AWD and this contrast stitching is a bitch to get clean. Is the original stitching gray or white? In photos from brochure it looks white, but I just bough new OEM sport shft knob with contrast stitching and the threads are gray..Any feedback on how to clean and keep clean as well as what color your stitching is.

I have a 2010 AWD with black interior. The stitching is definitely white.

I'd love to hear what others have done to keep theirs looking good. My steering wheel could use a little cleaning in places.

I use a steam cleaner on the lower setting and sometimes woolite water solution (1 part woolite : 6-10 parts water) and a microfiber to clean contrast stitching.

could just take an interior brush and a lite soap water combination, the bristles are what actually pick up and clean the dirt/grime.

Y'all should invest into some detailing tools. a few brushes

FYI have an extensive detailing kit. And nothing seems to get them white. Annnnnnnnnd it appears the dye from the leather comes off and makes them dark again. SO that is why i took the time to make this thread.

On my TL it has a Silver Stitching and I was using Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather wipes for the leather and noticed it cleaned the stitching very well taking off the dark grime off the stitching, and also, my hand brake stitching looks like new now. Hope this helps.
