Gear oil review
I came across this older gear oil review. I am sure someone has posted it before however https://www.lastgreatroadtrip.com/wp...comparison.pdf
At least as of 2010, it seems I have picked wisely.
When I owned a 85 RX-7 GSLSE (it is the original body type with the newer 1.3 (13b) engine vs 1.2 (12a) engine). The early 1st generation RX-7 had a 'scratchy' 2nd gear synchro, meaning when the manual transmission was cold, it was a labor to shift. You had to press hard to get it into 2nd gear.
Soon as it warmed up over a couple minutes of driving, it was fine. However when I changed to Amsoil synthetic gear oil, the problem was gone.
