Fuel System Cleaner

Fuel System Cleaner
Hi,
I am thinking to pour some fuel system cleaner into gas tank to clean up or prevent buildup and some deposits.
Did some search. most of cleaners just are detergent. not working well on cleaning. But it is ok for prevention.
However, accidentally, saw a post that too strong cleaner like Techron is going to dissolve the buildup from wall of tank and maybe clog the fuel filter.
And dissolved buildup may clog the exhaust catalyst.
What kind of cleaner do you use? Any recommendation or ideas?
Thanks

As far as I know detergent and cleaner are the same thing. I don't know of anyone having issues with buildup in the tank nor do I think it would be an issue.
Keeping the back side of the intake valves as clean as possible is the reason I use Chevron Techron. It also cleans the injectors.

Most of the top tier gas should keep the system pretty clean.
When I use a cleaner, I have the gallon jug of Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubrication & Injector Cleaner.
https://www.amazon.com/Lucas-10013-F.../dp/B000FW7V50
then I refill smaller jug for using on the car and refill as needed.
https://www.amazon.com/Lucas-10003-C.../dp/B000ARPVOI
Since I have some really crappy in the middle no where fuel ups. (I stay away from Cenex like a plague)
I think I do once in spring and fall.
Though there are many gas stations that look nice however the gas storage tanks are not exactly perfect.
Side-note: Top tier gas is an example where EPA legislation actually lower the amount of detergents and cleaners in the premium gas. Since a large number of fuel companies already were putting in 2 to 5 times the required Top Tier detergent levels of today. Some companies just lowered the amounts detergents since requirements were far less.

The one product Ive used and not too many people care to know about is called 44K by BGE. I drop a full can in on a quarter tank before fill up and watch the sparks fly. The stuff is been around for the longest time. In fact I once had a clown at Jiffy Lube tell me I had to drop a few hundred to do a fuel system cleaning. I told him let me think about it for 24 hours.....I went bought a can and came back the very next day....Guess what he saw the next day!! Look it up, BGE 44k, its a good secret to keep to yourself.....

Definitely try it out - it's a few bucks for a small bottle and they are a fairly large company that many people swear by (google search Lucas Oil upper cylinder lucubration and fuel injector cleaner review or look at the reviews on amazon, advance auto, etc... All I'm saying is that you can't fake that many reviews

i use seafoam in the gas tank a couple of times a year, and once a year or so depending on miles, put a bottle of Auto-RX in the crank case for 3k miles.

Ya it for Unleaded vehicles.
When I was a kid - regular fuel was the leaded version of gas. Now I swear you say that now and people think you are talking about 87 octane unleaded gas.
When it comes to injector cleaner - you are going to have a diverse answers in the same manner, if you would have asked best fuel...

Lucas works with both unleaded gas and diesel engines - I use it all the time with my 4G TL and used it previously on various Acuras, Buicks, BMWs, Mitsubishis, Mercedes, etc and worked well
