I am searching for front seat covers for the 2010 SHAWD TL. A good number of the after-market seat cover manufacturers either don't make them for the 2010 TL or don't make them for the SHAWD version.


Anyone here install front seat covers in their SHAWD TL? If so, what brand?

I got a set of Cover King seat covers in spacer mesh fabric (black). They have an open section for the side airbag too. I am glad I got them. The kids are using the seat back to prop their feet.

What's the difference between the FWD and SHAWD seats?

They seem like nice sear cover but just curious why you would want to cover leather seats? Obviously it would protect the leather but I love the leather too much. Easier to slide in and out with dress clothes and easy to clean.

I don't know the difference between the base and AWD seats. I assume there is a difference as, for example, GT Covers says their seat covers for the 4th Gen TL will NOT fit the front seats in the SH-AWD model.


Yes, simply to preserve the life of the leather on the front seats, the driver seat specifically.

I have the SH-AWD but I am pretty sure they would be the same as FWD seat. I have the grey leather so I needed to protect it. My kids are using the seat back as a way to sit on the chair so it would be a lot of cleaning in the winter.

The SH-awd seats have more support on the lower back area, the sides stick out a bit more.

^^ Correct, the SH-AWD models come with thicker support in the seat padding and are shaped slightly larger than the base models. Base model seat covers won't fit SH-AWD and vise-versa...
