Engine Bay Modesty Panels

The modesty panels in the engine bay of my 2011 TL are missing a few clips. I can obviously get new clips for pennies, but I think I'm just going to remove the panels altogether. Not only are they a nuisance but they conceal parts of the engine, etc that I like to inspect every now and then. I guess I don't really have a question. I'm more or less seeing who agrees and has done the same.

I know that the front portion has a seal that prevents water from getting inside. Without it, there will be a gap between the hood and grill.

Good to know. The front one doesn't bother me as much. It's the side ones that are irritating.
