Easier than ever

Easy is Staples, introducing the all new TL, the most powerful Acura ever built.

Ha...clever.
I still don't understand why there is a slot for the fob. When I test drove it, I went to put the remote in the slot and the guy told me I didn't need to.
That makes sense.

the slot is because people complained of no where to put the key while in the car. also the new key fob can be separated from the main unit, so you only give the key part to a valet, and this way the valet can still start the car and you aren't giving them the whole fob.

My understanding is that it's in case the fob battery dies so you can put the fob in the dash and still start the car even though it's not broadcasting anymore.

The start button is cool, having to put your foot on the brake means it's no faster then putting the key in. But it's cool and they should keep it on all their cars.

Love the "Easy" button

It's nice to jump in the car, hit the button and go. No fumbling for the key. What was really silly was my S2000 where you had to put the damned key in and still push the start button.

If only that could have been extended to the rest of the car.

I'd assume you are right. This is how it is on my Genesis and how it is on Infiniti vehicles.
