Does anyone regret moving from their 3G TL to the 4G ?
Im curious as I see various other posts about how people miss thier 4G, was wondering if anyone actually misses/prefers their 3G.
As I'm driving my 4G the other day, I was thinking how great a car it really is, inside and out. I find myself HOPING there is a long trip for me to take. I used to think when I had my TLS manual that Acura couldn't have made a better overall vehicle, until now. Now my only regret is why I didn't move to a 4G TL SOONER. I even prefer the look of my 4G to my TLS. More mature/modern. The 3G TLS was great, but it looks a little dated to me at this point. Still beautiful, but dated.
Maybe part of it is because this is an AWD car (my first). I never really thought much about how my TL-S used to be so much more unstable at takeoff vs the AWD until I actually drove the AWD.

3G the most overrated car of all time. 4G most underrated car of all time. ive owned two 3G's for a total of 1 year, 07 base and 07 types. i wanted to see what all the hoopla was about. neither impressed me in any fashion. luckily i sold both for what i paid for them. ive driven plenty of 4G's, awesome car.

I had an '05 TL Base and an '07 TL Navi. Then I got a '10 TSX V6 Tech before getting my '12 TL Advance. I loved my '07 TL. To me it was a beautiful car inside and out. The TSX V6 was a better car than the '07 TL and the '12 TL Advance trumped them both. It's my favorite car I've ever owned but I do think about the '07 TL every now and then.

No regrets here either... I almost bought a 2008 3G TL-S 6MT, but was put off by the low speed heavy steering on the 3G. Loved the 3G in all other aspects. Acura moved to electric power steering on the 4G and this swayed me to get it. I've had my 2010 TL for 4+ years now and other than the engine oil consumption issue on the 3.7L, been very happy with it.

On silver cars, the 09-11's were palatable since the "beak" blended in, but I'm biased. Acura messed up the rear styling on the 12-14 MY's especially with the removal of the quad tips on SH models.

I have a MMC2012, I wasn't a fan of the 09-11's either, but with the lip kit or a painted grill I think they look pretty good as well. I still like the 2012-14 better, but the lip kit really improves the 09-11.

if i got a 4g it would be a 09-11 manual, painted matched grill, lip kit and wheels. im not sure whose car it is but there is one grigio 09-11 on this forum that is sick.

I feel like my 4g is so much heavier.
Styling wise and interior design was a huge upgrade to me.
but I feel like the 3G was a little lighter and faster...
my 4g being fwd doesnt help lol

I don't regret moving up to the 4G as it's a great car, I do hate the fact that some things feel cheaper and less quality built than my 2004 3G TL.
Suspension was much better in 3G ride wise and performance wise.
MPG seems to be a bit crapper with the 3.5L over the 3.2 but it's worth the extra power.
I wish the HID's were like the 3G TL and that the gauges had some nice blue tint or something to them. Either way, I'm a very satisfied customer

I regret going from my 1G TSX to my 4G TL SH-AWD. Not car wise, just the fact that I really should have just kept my TSX. Gas sucks and I could have bought a house earlier... but at age 21 I can't really complain.
