Concerning?

i have 13' manual w 17k miles. I noticed what appears to be grease/oil coming from what i think is the starter. Nothing is actually dripping or leaking. It appears to
be coming from the seam. Is this just grease that was used from factory? Ive never noticed this before. Curious if anyone else has same?
thnx

I would clean it off and see if it comes back. I am guessing it is nothing to be worried about. If it does come back use the Acura warranty.

Doesn't seem overly concerning to me. I'd monitor your oil level and see if there's a decrease over time.

Me too. But frankly, having owned a lot of higher mileage vehicles, I see a bit of this around the valve covers and oil/transmission pans and it never concerns me. If I saw it between the heads and block then I'd be concerned.

17K miles is a bit low for that however. I've never owned a car with <50K miles
