ODBII scanner won't read that, you have to use a Honda diagnostic tool

Scan Tool app that will talk to SRS/ABS/VSA for Acura???

There are OBD scan tools that can talk to/reset SRS/ABS/VSA, but they are the more expensive ones. I am currently looking at the Foxwell NT630 Elite as it can be used to reset both ABS and VSA. What I really want to know, though, is if there are apps I can use on my phone along with the bluetooth OBDII dongle that will let me do the same thing. I have the ELM 327 dongle that will talk to the different apps that can be downloaded onto droid from playstore, but none of them seem to have the ability to do SRS/ABS/VSA. I'd rather have a phone app then to have to buy and expensive scan tool. Does anyone know of a droid app that I can get my hands on that will give me this ability with my current ELM 327 dongle? Thanks!

If there was a cheap/free app that could have the same functionality as a $500-$1000 device.. why would anyone buy that device?

Actually, you can get the devices starting at around $84. The Foxwell device mentioned above is $109 delivered. Some people just like spending money on fancy stuff. Other people look for alternate solutions.

So why not buy that then?

Have you tried resetting it by pulling the negative battery terminal?

Shawn Harris 11-26-2018 01:54 PM

No, I just bought a Foxwell NT644 Pro. It talks to lot's of modules and allows you to reset the VSA light as well. Found it at a good price:

Now I'm on to trying to get my Hands Free Link working. It says booting up all of the time. I found a thread that shows a capacitor that typically goes out so I'll probably give that a shot. My scanner doesn't talk to the HFL module.

My battery did fully die at one point (left an interior light on) and the VSA light didn't clear at that point. I never pulled both terminals connections and shorted them together, though.

I also saw an NT610 sell on Ebay for $79. That would've done for resetting things as well, but doesn't have near the functionality of the 644 Pro I got.

Ok. So what was the cause of the check VSA system?

I know each time mine went out, it was a tire pressure sensor that went bad. It was always the one that didn't register a psi reading off the bat.
