BMW gets religion....new M5 offered with Torque Vectoring xDrive...

BMW bows to the AWD craze for high performance sedans, following Audi's trail...

http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsAr...llCars/256784/

It seems almost confirmed the excellent xDrive option with Torque Vectoring for the new M5.....Vow!!.....if they also mantain the option of a true manual transmission and it is confirmed that it is a turbocharged engine, I may have to start drooling after a German car after so many years.....I like a lot the new F10 style (a bit less the interiors)

A prayer to the moderators....please do not move this post on the Car Talk section, I have serious compability issues and very little patience for many folks that often populate that section of the site, their nonsense postings, incapability to keep an intelligent conversation and pointless arguing.....as far as I'm concerned the specific Acura models sections is all of the Acurazine site I want to visit.... thank you in advance...

Short of the Subaru "sling-shot through the ditch" AWD system, I really love the torque vector idea. Honda has applied some good engineering here and it works well on the Acura line. This is about as good as it gets in the world of AWD. Someday when electric motor in hub is the best way to move all of the wheels on a vehicle we will look back at our Torque Vectoring SH-AWD system, as we now do to the early single axle drives.

Sorry- this discussion has nothing to do with the 4GTL and since you don't want it moved to Car Talk, the thread is closed. If you change your mind, LMK.

Nothing personal- I just don't want to start a trend.
