Been driving a 2011 TL the past couple of days....
while my 05 AT w/Navi is at the dealer getting the dash replaced because of all the cracks. Just thought I would give you guys my comparison between the 2. I just can't get past that exterior, what was Acura thinking? The interior though is very nice. Seats seem more comfortable, I like the IPOD integration, and the ELS Audio seems more powerful, I don't know if it's because of different speaker placement up front or more power going to the amp, or what. I don't know any specs on the new TL's so forgive my ignorance. As far as driving, the car just seems heavier. It doesn't seem to have as much quickness to me. The interior lighting is better, as in when the doors are open you have bright white light now. If I could swap the interior with mine, I would, but I would keep the my exterior. Overall, the car just doesn't feel like a "sport sedan" to me. Feels more like something I would drive when I retire.

i guess hes just going by feel then...
sometimes, well actually all the time when someone gets into another car, they think their car is much better. its because they are so use to their car and how it handles, they think it handles much better.
for example.. i still think my dc2 handles wayyy better than a sh-awd.. i had lots of suspension components on their.. but on paper.. its not.. lol

I'm a very new Acura owner (2011 base w/tech) and I certainly don't think the car feels like a boat. Granted I am coming from an '05 Pontiac Bonneville which cornered like a cruise ship so my impression might be slightly different than experienced Acura owners.

First of all, this post was meant to be in the 3G forum, but the mods moved it. I never said the car felt like a boat. I just said it felt heavier than mine. The exterior started to grow on me a little bit after a couple of days. I would love to have the interior though. The ELS in the 2011 just sounded so much more powerful. And no, this wasn't a SH-AWD model, and even though it felt heavier to me, I felt that the handling was still very good. And you're right, it may just be that I'm used to my car.

I can purely say " according to the commercial ads from Acura that was specially made for 4G TL (you guys remember the clip of TL get through a glass like a bullet on TV, that was my best favorite commercial ever)" Yes, that is how I feel on new 4G TL.
.....Rather than my 2002 Honda Accord V6 Coupe. (traded without regret). haha

I have a loaner 11 TL tech as a loaner right now. Its pretty sweet, especially the sound system. Completely blows mine away.
