Did you ever look at the other white TL's?

The 2013 is out of my budget and the other 2010 white one. Man, the dude seemed sketch. The tranny was shifting hard. Esp from 1st to 2nd. Also felt a tiny grinding sound when touching the accelerator lightly. I wasnt comfortable. Guy pretended not knowing english at all. Had zero receipts of any work done.

Options so far:
1. The black 09 is cleannnnnn but no tech package. AWD tho
2. The 2012 FWD detailed service recs available but minor rust and uneven panels.

And now setting up time to see this
https://www.kijijiautos.ca/vip/5096489

They are getting the TC software update monday so theyre hoping the transmission light goes off. Its an AWD. 2012 tech package. High kms tho. 171k.... zero rust apparently

I hate not having nav, but I'm OK without having it in my next car, my RDX still has it, but I get it, and feel you really want it!

But that brown interior...

Personally not having nav isn't a big deal. I mostly like the tech pkg for the rear view camera, ELS surround sound audio, keyless entry stuff and the wing on the trunk looks great.

The 09 is good if you can live with a 5 speed transmission and without tech pkg. Also keep in mind its the first year of the new model TL. I wouldn't consider an automatic 09-11 but I know your budget is kind of limiting you.

The black 2012 with higher kms is actually a nice one. Its got 2 things going for it, A-spec body kit which is like a $1500-2000 upgrade and the umbar interior. I like both of those things. If it runs and drives well you should consider it. Try to knock the price down a little because of the high kms.

If you are willing to fly into Regina you can buy my TL

https://www.kijijiautos.ca/vip/86796...390%2C-105.558

Price is negotiable of course and won’t have any of the rust issues from cars out east.

I guess not but a decent set of winter rims+tires could be worth 600-800 bux up here in Canada..
On a budget of 10-11K & these are hard to find up here. Just trying to help out.

Problem with the black one is that the timing belt still hasn't been changed. So I dont know how I should see that? Perhaps, have him drop the price low enough to the point to incorporate my cost of doing the timing belt?

I hate ppl that post ads withiut their phone numbers. Now i have to wait for an email back from the lady with a phone number so i can set an appt. Its literally 1 km away from me it shows. Im stoked. Actually would consider if it works out.

Just that TLs are bigger which is why i prefer them. But this ones cheaper and a V6.

Lets hope she responds soon

Timing belt done 3 months ago. Water pump NOT done since his mechanic said it was good at that time.
Listed Price was $12500 CAD. He said last he'll go is $12000.

Thank you very much.
I would not buy this car. I would definitely go with the AWD as i did and did not regret it at all. There is an official recall with the oil consumption and all you have to do is get an oil change done with acura and keep bringing it back every 1000km for them to check and if it turns out its burning oil they will fix it or replace the engine entirely. I would recommend you get a 2012+ AWD with tech package. Also, i might be crazy but i wouldnt buy any scarborough or brampton cars LOL especially with a missing foglight and rust.

I just checked the white V6 TSX.

1. Timing belt has not been changed and its currently at 176k
2. Brakes need changing
3. Rust on rear left wheel well. Picture attached
4. Tires will need changing very very soon
5. Minor scuffs on front and rear bumper

By Friday he says he will do the airbag recall, do the brakes, "fix" the rust, and clear the scuffs off the bumpers.

Timing belt he outright said he will not do. Tires he only said he will change if its required to get changed for saftey certification.

Car drives sikk otherwise. Has Navi. 176k driven.
Listed at 9k$. He said he could do 8k$.

What ya'll think?

If he is actually going to fix the things he said he would, then yes, I think it is not a bad deal for 8k. I would even try 7500..

I'd give it a shot... It's a much more unique car than the 4G TL and it isn't a gigantic boat either...

Alright so remember the very first post? 2012 FWD TL with the missing fog and a bit of rust?

https://www.kijijiautos.ca/vip/8801014

Took a mechanic for a quick look around. He said everything is fine.

1. The bumpers slightly got misaligned because soft bumps from either snow or something else at the very bottom edges of the bumpers. He said its not a major accident at all and easily fixable.
2. The fog light. Lol. He placed his hand inside the holder and felt it. Told me it came off its bracket because the bumper hit something on the bottom edge. Also show me the scrape where the bumper was hit. Says it the bracket broke but is easily repairable.
3. Rust!!! Now heres the thing. He looks at it for literally 2 seconds and immediately says its minor and can easily be fixed. However, needs to be taken care if immediately so that it wont come back. According to him the cancerous rust that keeps coming back is when the paint bubbles or the rust creates holes. This according to him is a possible $1000 fix.

As for the renegotiated price, i think i fucked up and shouldve gone lower but i offered 11k. The seller agreed to $11k cash without the winter rim n tires. $11.5k with the winter rim n tires.

He listed ad for $12.5k.

If i pay $11k and spend a $1k on rust removal. It would have cost me $12k clean.......

Dunnooooo

The TSX V6 was only available in a 5 speed automatic...

V6 6-Speed combos were only ever made on the TL, CL and Accord...

I'd look at that TSX to see if the size/fitment is good, then hold out for another V6... But personally, I'm going V6 next time, MPG difference is neglegabul at best...

yes referring to the k24......

and no mileage is not negligible between a 4cylinder and 6 cylinder, especially in an automatic
