Advantages of leasing 2014 TL SE over base other than the obvious...?

Ok what would you do? I am planning to lease a base TL (this will be my 5th leased TL in the past 14 yrs LOL), but they are pushing the SE over a Base TL...

Besides the spoiler, stitched interior, the wheels, push button ignition...are these reasons enough to go for this option? (only $9 a mth more)

Are the tires more wearing on the SE or about the same or less as the base tires? They are really "pushing" these, are they trying to get rid of them more than the base models?

push button start is nice...Love the fact i don't have to ever take my keys out of my pocket... Stitched leather is meh... Not sure about tires, think they are all Mich MXM4's which are crappy expensive tires that wear pretty well...

You also get the 18" wheels which to me is a lot better looking than the base 17" wheels. Extra $9 a month is worth IMO.

your questioning this all over $9 dollars a month? that is $324 extra out of a 3 year lease..

get the SE, better yet get the tech

LOL, yes I keep saying it's "only" $9 but my husband will look at the "$324" ...so now I have to sell him on it.

Tech pkg on the TL , nah, that'll be another $50-60 mth, now that's not worth it to me...

Not in Canada my friend!! Mind you, i rolled in $3k in negative equity from my previous TL, but even with out that negative, it would be about the $640-$650/month. We get screwed pretty hard up here in the North.

Having owned both key start as well as push button start TL's.....that feature alone is well worth $9 per month. I think you will agree after using it. Then throw in wheels as well as other minor upgrades and it seems to be a "no brainer".

Just tell your husband that the spoiler adds 4mpg vs the base model and that will more than cover the $324 difference in gas savings!

Go for it!

The question really is, what is the price they are offering to you for?

(Keep in mind- this is a lease don't forget) - $395 including tax (36 mths) - nothing down, they pay first month's payment as well as any tag/transfer fees (so $0 at inception/delivery)- 2 free oil changes - what do you think, think that's good

Yes that's a good deal in my opinion. I believe there are better terms in Fla as opposed to NY where I am as my neighbor priced his car a few months back when he was in Miami and could have got his car for 50 bucks a month cheaper down there if he was a residenct. I lease as well. I am paying 422/mth if I factor the small amount I put down into the payment.

I would take that!

Sooner or later someone will jump on this thread and tell you they got a 3 year lease, no money down, $349 per month, free gas for life from Acura, dancing girls, etc.

However, in the land of reality where most of us reside that is a nice deal. Good luck with your new TL!

Defiantly go for the SE, even though it's extra money that you could justify as "unnecessary" Know that the SE will be much more sought after in 3 years than a base model will, It's much more appealing to the used car market meaning you will have more equity in the SE than the Base TL.

Well not so sure about the dancing "girls" but would definitely go with the dancing "guys"... oh and the free gas for life too...going to drive it in a few hours, thanks again guys for the input! A slight change after leasing 4 TL's in the past 14 yrs is due (although I did start out with the RDX for the change this time around, but that was over what I wanted to pay, but now I'm kinda happy as I don't really consider myself the "SUV" type )...
