WOW! Dan, thank you! That was a great clip. I loved that Forged Silver with Advance Package! It looks so very classy. It's a very rich and dark silver with a blue tint - I love it!

I am not sure how much I like those new 18" wheels though. The 2010 5 spoke gunmetal wheels look so much nicer, IMHO.

Nice video and music. IMHO kind of funny at 2:32, a guy repeatedly pulled on door handle on the passenger's side to try to get into the vehicle.

Thanks for posting. I like it! It's good to see the car on the move. I can almost hear the negative responses about the car being too tame but I think it became classier looking. The aero kit on that will look ever so good. .... ooops, making my pants tight okay, it's not that hot but I like it!

I LOOVE the look of the 4.5 Gen TL. I've changed my mind on picking up a used one in 3-4 years. Small adjustments sometimes makes for BIG improvements.

Yes, those are the 18" wheels that I was referring to in my previous post. I love those 19" wheels which they now have with the Advance package - these are the same wheels for the HPT package before. The new 18" wheels though are OK looking but not as sporty or unique as the gunmetal 18" 5 spoke wheels that they have for the SH-AWD models for 2009/2010.

Car looks good. Ya don't like the new 18's like the old ones better, but the new 17's are a hell of an improvement over the last ones.

The revised fascia looks much much better. I don't care for the front revisions, but it looks better with the lip kit.

Does anyone know what the colour of the second TL is by any chance?

Not the grey one but the other one?

I once saw a commercial like this being made for the Mazda 5 in Washington D.C. (right near the Washington Monument) in July 2005. It seemed like they did half the takes with the road closed and the other half with a decent amount of traffic around it.

Good job on the spy shots!

I think the new car looks more bland but once the lip kitmis on it would look netter than previous TL!

It looks classier....I can sort of see hints of the newer RL in the new redesign....

Call me nuts but I prefer the '09 - '11. The front makes the car look "small" not in size per se but in that vague quality best described as 'presence.' I can live with the changes to the rear but I think the original version just has way more panache.

I like the '12 better..to me, the body lines flow better but the lower part of the grille will need some work. I want to see the aero kit or RJ's kit on this

From my design stand point flow means it all comes together or it doesn't. The '12's lower air duct system doesn't flow well with the rest of the car.

Not because I own a 09 but if I was shopping for a new TL and both were side by side I'd still pick the 09. I can see that this is the way the car was most likely designed and this was a fix. Not that it's bad...

I still believe there's a CAD file some where of the original grille concept integrated into the design in a way that would of really been sweet, but some one went with the "bigger is better" thought.

*Note, the aggressive edge has been removed, take a look at the exhaust pipes...prime example.

I never heard of this. It would be cool if someone could dig this CAD file up and post it on AZ.

It is my understanding that the 2012 was re-designed by the same guy who designed the successful 3-Gen. I really think the 2012 looks more sophisticated and sporty and less transformerish.

2 things that I don't like about the 2012

#1 the grill is now too small. On darker cars, it looks like a boomerang got pasted on the TL. Not a fan.. They should have just reduced the size slightly, instead they almost halved the size of the original grill.

#2 the 2 chrome accents (and it's surrounding area) on the front bumper add NOTHING to the car except make it look unbalance. They do not flow anywhere!

I wonder if there will be a dark chrome kit, that way I'll be able to fix the "boomerang" look and the stupid chrome on the buttom. The rear seems fine imo.

It's not about being defensive non-writable one. Some folks aren't as conservative as others...more daring. the 3G was, in the beginning, more used bar of soap shaped. It's my understanding that the guy who did the 3G and 2012 only has the same color and style brown slacks and black slacks with 20 white shirts in his closet., makes it easy to choose and he does have to think about coordinating his wardrobe...I'm just saying, LOL!

I just know that generally there are several drawings produced when designs are generated for a product. I recall seeing old designs of proposed Mustangs designs that surface every now and then...I see that Honda/Acura do a bang up job keeping those under lock and key.
