you know what they are pretty wide though and if they are based on the new accord frames then they must have good handling too!! My dad has a 2008 v6 accord w/navi and it handles like a champ!!! Firm and quick!!

I thought the last gen TL was an instant hit. The current gen TL could be a worse move than the first Bangled 7 series, which actually did grow on me.

but heading back to the topic...

I wouldn't expect a Type-S until later the model cycle as a way to stimulate sales. I sure it will be offered in AT as that is probably a large part of their sales of the current Type-S. It will probably have a sportier looking exhaust, wheels, brakes, and maybe a bit more power. Basically just some simple upgrades without going too crazy. Look at your Type-S versus a regular TL as an example of what to expect.

They will have to do some changes to 4G front & back plus modifying that seudo quad looking exhuast pipes ... adds more ponies ... since 6M is avail. for 2010, I imagine type-s will keep that option for sure ....

Does the SH-AWD 6 spd automatically come with a black grill? I saw it like that at the car show. Silver around the outside with the main beak part colored black. Maybe it's body colored, but the car was black, so not sure if it's black or body colored or if the dealership did that? Looked MUCH better like that.

well, the 3rd gen actually looked sporty enough to warrant a type S. it will most likely happen with the 4th gen, but it just doesnt look quick nor pleasing.

you def have a point, I kind of feel like the new TL kind of looks like the 2007 nissan maxima 4 door!!!

No matter how much you dress her up, she's still a hell of alot of car to haul around vs. the more compact boy racer type 3rd gen model !!!

OP, no news on the Type-S. At present it is just a wish. Some speculation on specs, but just guesses.

Try searching for previous threads.
