4G ECU reset

Hey guys, i was wondering if there is a way to reset the ecu besides disconnecting the battery or pulling a fuse on a 4th gen tl. I have seen you can do it in 3rd generation tls, by turning the key to acc setting, holding the gas pedal to the floor for 30 secs, turning the key off and releasing the gas pedal. I have yet found anything on if you can do it with the push button start. If you can, can someone give me simple instructions on how to do it? Also, does this really reset the ecu ?

Disconnect negative cable and put it on positive for 10-15 sec (leaving positive connected)... then plug it back to negative battery connector, that make almost complete ECU reset, including engine light reset...

Without doing that, is there the gas pedal way? Also, doesn't that fry your battery when you connect both terminals to the positive?

Nope... doesn't fry battery! Have done it several times on different models/brands already, otherwise wouldn't suggest here on AZ

When you connect both terminals to the battery positive post, you are only using the metal post to short out and fully discharge any residual charge inside the car's electrical system.

Nothing goes in or comes out from the physical battery by doing so.

Therefore, the battery is not harmed.

This is the same as disconnecting just negative cable as soft reset...

2012-14 Acura TL with keyless/push button start:

I also found out that you can reset/relearn the ECU by pressing the push button start twice then (don't start the car) step on the gas pedal for 30sec., wait for a minute then start the car. With my daily traffic commute it seems the pick up is non responsive. My question is by doing this method would I have any issues/problem in the future? So far I've been doing this method once or twice a month.
