2014 Acura TL Tech - Should I buy for the long term?

Can I expect a long relationship or should I go with something else? I'm looking for something to last me a while. Inhave heard mixed reviews and problems and wanted to know if you had to do it again would you?

2013 Acura TL Advance(Elite) zero problems besides a ATF filter replacement. I replaced the fogs with LED kit and put 850cca battery in. I love the car.

2013 with Tech Package 53k miles problem free thus far. You’ll be fine if you choose the 2014. Car is as reliable as it gets. The 3.5 V6 is bullet proof.

2012 Tech Package, put 70K miles on it just in the last year and half. 140K on the odometer. I had a major problem unfortunately, where an oil control ring went bad on one of my pistons, resulting in a lot of oil consumption. I had to have a new engine swapped in. However, I'm convinced it was a total fluke. I don't know of anyone else on the board who's had that problem. I've owned two other vehicles with nearly identical engines (2006 TL, 2009 Pilot) and put over 200K miles on them both with no issues whatsoever. Other than that, I've had no other problems, minor or major.

The transmission has held up extremely well. I change the fluid every 15K miles and the filter every 30K miles because I want it to last well over 200K miles. I would recommend it as a long term reliable vehicle.

Purchased a 2014 TL Tech (FWD) new in April of 2014. Have 56,000 miles it now. Very happy with it....no issues or problems of any significance. Hope and expect to keep it for at least 5 more years. In my view, a used 2012-2014 TL is currently a great value..... a lot of car for the money.

The 3.5L in the FWD is very very reliable, if you've heard about oil consumption issues its probably a 3.7L.
