2013 propeller shaft / drive shaft
I recently purchased a 2013 TL 6MT about 6 months ago or so. To make a long story short I had small vibration coming from the center of the car. Reading around it appeared to be the propeller shaft that needed to be replaced. I take into Acura and they decided to replace the entire drive shaft. No problem with me.
Fast forward to 2k miles and 3 months later the propeller shaft is doing the same thing. I understand I could probably drive like this forever its just so annoying to listen to the sound it makes after 40+ mpg its a constant whine.
So getting to the point here... has anyone had non stop issues with propeller shafts that were covered under warranty? What will Acura eventually do if I go through 5 propeller shafts over the next year with the car?

The part, at least on my 09 has been upgraded by Honda. It was 40100-TK5-A02 and now it is 40100-TK5-A03 and I changed mine, I think almost 3 years ago. All other things being equal, i.e. Honda uses the same prop shaft on all AWD TL, check your work order (or invoice) to see if the dealership included the upgraded part number on the paper work. If not, well, politely ask them what part they installed. If it is the old one, well, politely ask them to correct their error. I am sure you have the option to send them to hell but lets just not go there The issue is one of the two "hanging bearings" that goes bad, because it is just a bit too close to the exhaust. The upgraded part that ends with "A03" has better quality hanging bearings that don't go bad from all the exhaust heat. Worse comes to worse, splash that bearing with some WD40 once in a while to make it go quiet LOL LOL.
(also, about the title of the post, drive shaft is not the same as prop shaft, by drive shaft Honda means the front axles, left and right)

No, it was still warranty when that was done. The part is pricey.

So Acura had the car for a few days. Called me periodically and told me a few different things. I rode on the car today with the service manager he told me everything was normal. This does not sound normal. That is in 6th gear just putting a load on the car. I will wait a few days and call Acura.

I got it from amazon https://www.amazon.com/Excelvan-Univ...NJHHV5Q3AVBGFX
I like it, been using it for a year though a hot summer and a very cold winter, no issues/malfunctions. Only thing I don't like is that is hard to see under direct sun light.
