2012 Acura TL Tech advice
Hello!
I just purchased my 2012 TL and am in the process of sorting out wheels/tires etc. Although there are posts regarding tires...mine is a little more specific.
I have friend who put 20" ES1s on his TL but said the rear rubbed pretty badly when hauling 2 full size adults in the back. I assume coil overs would resolve this...but short of that... will 19" wheels be better to prevent this?
New Stereo install is about to start as well. Keep up with the progress at www.2012acurainstall.com when I get the wheels/tires issue resolved, I'll post them there as well!
Thanks in advance!

The width and the offset of the wheels determines whether rubbing will occur or not.
The OEM 18"/19" wheels are 8" wide and with an offset of 55.
If one don't go too crazy with the width and the offset of the new wheels, there won't be any rubbing issue at all.
Do a search in the "Tires, Wheels and Suspension" sub-forum. There you'll find many different combinations of wheel width and wheel offset, that 4G TL members are using and have no rubbing issues.
