2012 Acura TL 3.5 Cold start noise
 

My 2012 Acura TL has 120,000 miles on it. I notice the first start of the day or cold start after a few seconds it makes a rattle noise. I have already done these maintenance a couple of months ago a trans flush , new serpentine belt, new battery and spark plugs. I attached a video the noise is at 10 seconds in. Please let me know if anyone knows what part could be causing this noise. Thanks

Can't really hear a noise in the video but after a cold start does it sound somewhat like a bubbling rattling noise coming from the left front of the vehicle? If so when was the last time the transmission filter was changed?

2 months ago it had a trans flush , new serpentine belt, new battery and spark plugs according to the service records. I just recently bought it. The noise is at the 10 second mark it is a little hard to hear but its there.

A trans flush and a transmission filter replacement are two different things. You need to have the transmission filter changed. You can order it off of amazon for around $25 and it isn't too difficult to change as long as you are handy. The filter is actually directly below the battery tray. Do a search here for transmission filter change and you should find a bunch of information.

I didn't realize that i called the dealer and they said they don't normally change the filter with the trans oil change. I was surprised that's not automatically done. I will change it and see if it fixes the issue. Thanks

I just changed mine a couple weeks ago, if you run into any issues like the fact that the battery tray has a hidden bolt underneath it let me know, I’ll give any tips or advice I can

Great info, I get the same gurgle sound briefly on cold starts.

I had the filter changed and the mechanic discovered the front axel seal had a leak so both were changed. Just got the car back yesterday and seems to be running great.

How much did the front axle seal change cost you?

Dealer wanted $450 and the local shop did it for $130.
