2010 SHAWD Tech to 2013 SHAWD Tech
Hey Everyone,
I turned in my leased 2010 last night for a 2013. I wanted to give you my impressions of the 2013 vs. 2010 in my 1.5 days of ownership. The 6 speed transmission does feel different than the 5 speed. Actually on the way home from the dealer, it felt a little jerky when downshifting as I came to a stop for red lights. Today, I didnt notice any of that and it feels much smoother. I think it might be part of the learning/break in process. It also seems a little quieter as the 2010 was starting to develop a few squeaks and rattles.
Im just hoping the 2013 is more reliable than the 2010. I previously documented all of the reliability issues in the "How's your 4g holding up" thread. In addition to that, last week the lock actuator in the front passenger door broke, so that made 2 doors with broken actuators.

Wanted to mention a couple of other points as well - Per the salesman, the 2013s have been out of production for a couple of months. He mentioned that their last shipment was around July 4, so selection is somewhat limited right now. He believes the 2014s will be out in mid-September for a limited production run up through December, and then the TLX will be introduced in the spring as a 2015. He thinks the TLX will have a hybrid version, but not yet sure if it will be AWD or FWD version. Apparently Acura has been tightlipped on specifics. He also described the ILX as a "turd" with disappointing sales.

Congrats on your new TL.
A quick question: I just purchased a 2010 TL SH-AWD w/Tech last week and was looking for the "How's your 4g holding up" thread you mentioned. After searching though the 4G and TL Sub forums I could not locate the thread. If you have a link that would be great!
The car has been great as a DD commuter and I intend to put a lot of miles on her, I would like to know what are common problems that might arise.
