2010 SH M6 TL Starter issues

Hi everybody!
My starter just died on me yesterday, I removed it and opened and find that the positive wires from the brushes were corroded and broke. Just want to know if somebody else had any issues with this part, and if is possible to find just the brushes assembly because my dealer does not have-it in stock or on order...
Thank you!

No problems with the starter yet. However, here's a solution to getting a new one:

Choose the Denso starter:

Denso is the OEM for Acura and Honda starters and alternators. The same and what the dealer has but at probably half the price.

Crap. I just realized the Denso that they have available is for automatic. Well, in that case, I'd go with the ACDelco. It's manufactured by Mitsuba, with is another OEM for Honda and Acura. I'm not familiar enough with it but there's a good chance that Mitsuba is the OEM for the 6MT starters. Still, excellent manufacturer either way.

Yes the one for the manual it is the Mitsuba.

You can always take it to a shop that specializes in rebuilding starters

Same thing happened to me not to long ago, I was able to get a replacement from NAPA.

Yeah, local auto parts stores are likely to give you a lifetime warranty as well. I bought a Duralast alternator and figured if it goes bad, I can just take it back to Autozone for a replacement. I find Autozone to be the best for warranties. NAPA is probably good since they deal with professionals pretty frequently. O'reilly's sucks for warranties. They'll do whatever they can to weasel out of it. That's the way my local one has been anyways.
