Smile 2009 tl sh-awd

HI everybody, I just picked up a 2009 SH-AWD TL black on black. So far I'm am in love with all the features and car itself. Does anybody have any recommendations as far as DIY things and where I can pick up an OEM lip kit for the cheapest. Also what upgrades would you recommend as far as performance. So far I changed the oil with 5w 30 mobile 1 synthetic. I have only put about 500 miles on it so far. I have not check to see if it is consuming the oil like what I have been reading in the past. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums.

Since these are questions you need answers to and not a "New Member Introduction" I moved this thread to the appropriate subsection so you can hopefully get more help.

I think you need to contact admin and change the title of this post to "looking for an Aero Kit" - there are a couple of vendors that can help. I have noticed because it's an 2009, they have been on sale to get rid of 'stock'.

OEM Lip Kits may be expensive depending on where you purchase them from. I priced mine out from the dealer and it was going to be around $1500.

Congrats on the new car!

As far as performance mods go a Jpipe is a great place to start. These remove a restrictive kink in the OEM piping and replace it with a smoother, better flowing bend freeing up lost HP/TQ.

You can see our XLR8 V2 Jpipe here: JPIPE-V2-UA8AWD - XLR8 J-Pipe - Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist

It's always a good idea to make sure maintenance is up to date before you start mods however (as boring as that may seem).

I hope it treats you well! Feel free to send me a PM if you need anything!

Thanks for the replies. I will give you a little more info about the car.
2009 TL SH-AWD
miles 90K
Check my oil after putting 800 miles on it and still at the top level of the dipstick.
I dropped in a replacement K&N filter last night. I do want to the JPIPE. I think the first thing I will do is get the OEM lip kit.
I will be doing the 100k tune up shortly here.

Congrats and welcome to AZ.. Since you're planning to do the 100K tune up shortly, don't forget at around 100K it is recommended to have the timing belt replaced.. Do a search and you will find there are a lot of threads/posts in regards to the timing belt service.
