** Dashboard Cleaner and Protector **

Hi All,

Got a question for you all. Do any of you use any type of dashboard cleaner/protector? Even though my car is less than two years old, I think my dashboard needs a little TLC. I usually just wipe it off with a damp microfiber, which is good to clean the desk and all, but it seems like my dashboard is a bit dry. I used to like Armor All and its glossy shine, but that was 12 years ago, and I have since grown out of it. I switched to Turtle Wax Dashboard cleaner/protector, it has a bit a shine to it too, half of what Armor All had, but still enough to make me not use it too often, may be once a year. So, now that Turtle Wax is not readily available, I am looking for an alternative.

Do you all have any recommendations for that? I am looking for something with less shine, even lesser than the Turtle Wax, if there is such product out there.

Thank you all in advance.

This is all I use. Leaves no finish behind. Just standard oem matte look as the car came with. Has UV protectors and you can use it on plastics such as the navi screen cover, and gauge cluster.

Leaves a natural matte finish.

Edit: has SPF too.

Cant edit the original post, but I use Turtle Wax F21 Super Protectant for the dash board.

So 303 Aerospace and InnerCLEAN to the list.

How about Mother's Protectant and/or Meguiar's #40?

100% Aero 303 I've used it for years with great success, it's safe for use on leather too and can even double as a tire shine.

Kind of a related question, what do you all use to clean/protect the leather seats?

I use Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Spray for leather in my car. It has a nice smell to it when you are applying it, but it goes away after a day or so. Also, it doesnt leave any shine to leather, but then again, I have Taupe interior, so if there is any sheen that this cleaner adds to it, it will be hard to notice.

Here is the link:

I've used Zaino Leather products and had good luck with them:

Z-9 Leather Soft Spray Cleaner
http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...oduct_Code=Z-9

Z-10 Leather in a Bottle (this stuff smells amazing and will make your entire car smell like fresh leather)
http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...oduct_Count=15

BUT I've been told by a very good source that the best stuff on the market is made by "leatherique". The stuff is called "Leatherique Prestine Clean" and "Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil", it's not cheap stuff but it's supposed to be amazing at both restoring leather and upkeep on new leather.

NEVER use MEGUIARS products to clean interior.. only thing i can possible think they have that is good is their car washing soap.. other than that.. dont use them.. there are way better options then just your standard OTC products.

use aero 303 for trim, use leatherique for seats..

Dang dude... I didnt realize they were that bad. I guess I will be tossing it out in the trash.

Any second option, beside Leatherique? Some with low to no shine?

I have heard good things about Leatherique but have never tried it. I have been using Lexol and really love it for leather.

I use 303 fabric on my 325 Cabrio roof and swear by it. Never tried the interior product but may need to get a bottle.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Leatherique Pristine CleAn for the leather and rubber seals around the doors. It is by far the best leather product on the market. You can purchase it fairly cheap on amazon. As far as the dash is concerned...cover it when it's in the sun.

Meg products for the interior hit or miss. Their gold class leather cleaner/conditioner work more or less on an ebony interior but nearly messed up my umber interior. Now I use lexol cleaner and conditioner with great results. I've also heard from pros and forums that leatherique cleaner/restorer are top of the heap.

I use Blackfire Interior protectant, works on the whole interior including leather. My second choice would be Ultima Interior Guard Plus.
