I called the 1800 xm radio #. I told the lady that someone called me and offered the "winback" promotion. She transferred me to another dept (which was probably the other 800#).
The new lady said that the promotion was good for 3 months and i told her i wanted to lock it in for the full year. She said ok. So... good to go.

Since my trial has expired, my phone rang off the hook from XM people calling me and offering my the promotion. So... as someone earlier said before "winback" is just what it means. It's to get the customer back. That's why they have to wait until your trial is over.
Has anyone else had XM contact them after their XM ended? Mine expires July 11. I might just have to wait for it to cancel and wait for them to call me. I tried today to use the WINBACK promotion but they wouldn't give it to me 2 years in a row.. any suggstions?

Yup just got off the phone with XM.....told them that my Acura dealer mentioned about the promotion for a full year and the XM dude said "would that be the 1 year promo for $77"? and I answered yes and to sign me up....gave him my credit card number and was done in 7 minutes. Thanks all for your input/feedback here in the forum.

Just called XM and let them know my subscription had run out and that the dealer mentioned the "winback" promotion. The guy said I'd receive a flyer in the mail soon and I could renew then for $77/year. I then asked him if I could just do it now... he agreed and I'm back online. Bonus.

call the number above. Ask for the winback promotion for $77 that the Acura dealer told you about and give them a credit card and you're done!

XM radio from April 22nd 06 -> July 25th 2007 for $77, can't beat that!

Anyone know if this "winback" deal is Acura specific or might also apply to Honda Accords too w/ pre-installed XM?

how much are you guys paying for xm after your "winback" promotion has ended?

i just checked my credit card online and i have a $42 charge from xm. my winback promo (1 year/$77) has just expired. i need to call xm later and see what that's for...is it a quarterly fee, etc.

i'm covered for a year, after that, not sure if i'll keep it. i just drove to philly, and the entire trip down was spent changing channels.

and i hate changing from one channel to another and the same damn song is on. can't they do their programming a little bit better?

it's not significantly better than FM radio is really (when it comes to the classic rock channels at least).

if you change your radio to station 0, it will show you your radio code, you give it to the rep, and they will set up an account for you. Just make sure when they ask you "How did you hear about the promotion?" you tell them a rep from xm called you about it.

I just used the winback promotion, paid $77.

The last post on this being still in effect was July 12th if you look, so I'd have to say yes.

Another happy WINBACK subscriber!

My initial trial period ended July 5th while I was on vacation and the XM worked until last monday. Today, I called the listener care line, waded through the automated voice responses, hooked up with a live person and signed on for one more year at $77.00.

wooo just got the $77 deal and no winback code was needed

fyi - my 3month free subscrib. wasn't up til the 21st of this month so if you do this promotion, no activation is required for the TSX as service never ended.

and also, the girl i was talking to was very nice and never questioned anything god i love her, haha

'Awesome!'

'What's your radio code'

yea it's up till the end of this month...i'm still debating if i should continue or not...i don't really spend a long period of time in my car and the only thing I listen to on XM is MLB. It will only be worth the money when I drive to Vegas

I wonder what would happen if you have said your flyer said $50/year!

Mine just ended yesterday (took them 4 days to cut me off). I only spend 40 minutes a day in my car (if traffic is bad...otherwise...15 mins to get to work, 15 to get back...)

I was debating on whether to subscribe or not (weekend trips, etc)...but I noticed that lately XM seemed to play the same songs over and over. I was starting to find myself flipping through stations as if it were FM radio lol

I'll subscribe if they send me the flyer...if not, I probably won't bother. I have my pda and 6-disc cd changer to keep me entertained
