My washer nozzzles seem pointed too low. The bulk of the spray hits the windshield about 5 inches up from the bottom. I am just wondering if everyone's is like this, or is it something I should address. I looked at the nozzle to see if I could manually adjust it, but I thought I would ask the experts first before screwing with it...

I would call your Acura dealer's service dept and see if it is something they can adjust. The same goes for anyone else that is unhappy with the way it works. For that matter, if you are unhappy about anything you may think isn't quite right with your car, call your dealer while the thing is still under warrenty and see if there is something that can be done. Don't assume that it is just the way it is. We paid a lot of money for these things. Personally, my local dealer (Lindsay Acura or Columbus, OH) has been great it taking care of any issues I have had with my car and I have had a few. Water in the headlight assembly, the HVAC radio issue, etc... all of it was taken care of.

Don't "guess". Call your dealer and see if they can adjust it. Like I said in my other post. We paid a lot of money for these cars, if you don't think something isn't quite right, call your dealer and see if something can be done. If nothing can be done, then we can complain.

I used to adjust the washer nozzle for my previous car. All you need is to use a needle and then stick it into the nozzle hole and adjust the nozzle up and test to see if that's ur desire height. Make sure the needle won't break while doing this, otherwise it will block the nozzle

use a small flathead screwdriver. my wipers sucked from the factory also squealed and dealer had to replace.

I generally find the spray works better once the car is in motion (~40mph).

think it's bad now wait until it starts snowing...the nozzles are hidden under cowl, doesn't work when the snow packs up and the defroster doesn't reach low enough on the windshield to keep ice from forming on the wiper blades.

i just thought it was because the nozzles were under the wipers instead of on the front hood of the car. looks a hell of a lot better though.

it's straight from the factory aimmed too low. you/dealer need to adjust it up a little.

You can get your dealer to adjust it for a higher setting, but then - make sure it's not too high and you spray your open sunroof with water while driving.........flaw of my last car. I find the setting too low while stopped, but adequate when I am driving, as someone else has noted.

I have a strange problem. The nozzle in my driver side is low but the one on the passenger is spot on. At first, I thought the driver side was clogged because it shoots out very weak and low. That might be the case still but I think it's an angle issue too.

Has anyone had a clogged nozzle? I tried wiping it clean to clear off any debris but that did not help.

I just noticed today that the washers are aimed too low on my 06 when the vehicle is stationary. I'll try them while driving and they may be OK though.

I have this exact same thing. You'll notice the nozzles are on a plastic gear so they can be adjusted. But when I tried adjusting the drivers side up, just one notch, the spray then deflected off of the top of the hood. Pretty annoying.

This is actually done intentionally; if you look carefully at the sweep angle of both wipers you will see that that the washer jets are carefully aimed to take advantage of the difference in articulation angles from the two different wipers.

Next time you have wet snow spray a small amount and washer fluid and watch the wipers go to work clearing everything away and you will see exactly the same thing.

At first I though the left side was off as well, however this is not the case.

ok, so they are adjustable then...

i'm sure the nozzles are intentionally aimed low on the driver's side, i don't doubt that. it's just that, during times of heavy snow, it may work better if it were aimed a little higher, even while i am driving...

Funny, I had the same thing develop in the last few weeks. I had the car in for its 16,000km service this week and asked the service manager to have them check it out. It turned out that it was slightly clogged. They cleaned it out and it works fine now, but he did say if it continues to happen they'll replace them.

His suggestion was to run some warm to hot water over them to see if that loosens the debris. If not, then have them take care of it.

My driver side nozzle took a crap on me a couple of months ago... Needless to say I havent been to stealership for any type of service, since I did my own @ 30,000, however I do plan on taking her in for the 40,000 service and I'll have them replace it for me then.

Blah Blah BLah, Im sure everyone with a TSX had that problem. Just use an open safety pin to open up the nozzles a bit.

I tried this process this weekend....a Needle does not work.......you need a screwdriver...it seems there are 3 positions for the spray head....TOO TOO LOW, TOO LOW, and a little TOO HIGH...

I have gone with the TOO HIGH for the wintertime since I wont have to worry about the sunroof issues...

I got some info... The 04 were aimed higher than the 05. The driver side is aimed lower than the co-pilot side... The dealer confirmed this info... I have a 05 now and I find it very low on the driver side... It does the jobs though.

I find the spray pattern and placement sub-par on the TSX. My Accord has squirters on the hood that do a much better job of fanning the spray and placement....but I guess that would put unsitely squirters on the hood then

Yep, Use a sharp object like a metal needle or something. Stick it into the nozzle and move it into the direction that you want it. My nozzles were set really low too for some reason. But i saw the service advisor adjust the nozzles right in front of me and that's all he used. It hits perfectly now. None of that stuff gets on my paint.
You dont want that stuff on your paint. That blue water stuff is a "base" (as in Ph). It's a base because it is designed to get the bugs and gunk off of your windshield. The only thing is that a "base" will eat away at your wax.

Anyone have a tip on unclogging a clogged washer nozzle? The one on my driver's side shoots out very low and weak, but both sides are now weaker than they were when I originally got the car.

In my whole life I have never seen a Japanese car with a decent combo of windshield washer/wiper system. They all suck.

Don't even get me started on the material they use for their wiper blades. It leaves a layer of plastic on your windshield and you're doomed to see it spread over the glass everytime you use the wipers. It never ever goes away.

My parents have a Mazda Tribute and one of the few good things about that vehicle is the windshield washers. They mist the ENTIRE windshield, instead of spraying a small line across like most vehicles.

OK, so I looked at my washer nozzle problem a bit closer. This is very strange. When the hood is open, the nozzles spray just fine. When the hood is closed, the water barely dribbles out. The water is not hitting the lip of the hood - I checked. My only guess is that somehow when the hood is closed, it is putting pressure on the tube that connects the washer fluid to the nozzles or crimping it somehow, but I cannot see any place where this could be happening. The nozzles are attached to a plastic casing, and it's hard to see underneath it to see how they're connected to the washer fluid.

Can anyone help?

Well now it's stopped working altogether. I guess I'm going to have to take it in. It makes a noise like the pump is trying to do something, but no fluid comes out, and I checked the fluid level.
