Wheel jerks under braking/acceleration
Anyone ever had this? When applying the brakes, the steering wheel shifts sharply left. When going from coasting to accelerating, it jerks right (opposite if going backwards). At the beginning, it would only happen if I stabbed the brakes, but now it's bad enough for anyone to spot it, even under mild braking at slow speed. It's clearly not an alignment issue.
I've already had plenty of suspension pieces replaced, and last week my mechanic put it up on the lift. He checked all the usual suspects, but claimed that all the obvious parts were in good shape. We were able to reproduce the issue even with the car in the air - under braking you could see the suspension shift.
He wants to take it apart to find the bad rubber, but I'm hoping the community can help direct his enthusiasm.
