I got a double din pioneer unit installed in an 06 non navi tsx. Only thing I lost was power to the ac/heating display... it's somewhat annoying when ur trying to figure out which way the vent is but if I hold my cell phone light up to the display, I can faintly see the display... there is just no light to it. But honestly it's worth it, love having the Apple car play and touch screen ... thinking of adding the back up camera as well since the one I got has that option.

do you have it mounted where stock stereo was or on the bottom?

Yea, it's where the stock stereo was... so it had to be taken out and on the 06 the display is powered through the radio or something like that... it still functions so it really doesn't matter, just no display power...

looks like same as rl
i think its 9 volts for the backlight
you can check the diagrams and power it up with a 9 volt battery separately to test the backlight
ill check the diagrams later

not yet i have to get it wsp inspected first
and wire that damn steering wheel
iam finding myself in same situation as i was with the RL
everything needs to be modified
im so missing the b series and late 90s hondas now.
i could close my eyes and pick a random part and it would fit anything i throw it at

i got a 2008 steering wheel and airbag for 2004 tsx...
as you probably know and i didnt. its not a direct swap lol
looks like i could have used my extra RL steering wheel with about same luck

btw on the RL
the backlight wires are labeled

LCD BL+
LCD BL-

i powered them up with a 9 volt drill battery and saw the backlight on
but unfortunately on the RL the stereo controls the hvac display so there was no info on it its all datalinked
if you actually seeing the info on display just no backlight then you are lucky

did it today finally
everything works now
blue pigtain from any year honda with a blue stereo plug

t tap off the old harness ground 12v ign and if you want also illumination and dimmer (red + red black wires)
and you have everything working plus all 6 speakers are powered up
people complain that oem amp sucks because they are using a 2 volt preout
i have no issues with 4 volt preouts on my indash

now this gives me another idea on how to integrate the RL aftermarket stereo with retaining factory amp because it has separate subwoofer line input
