I've got Meg's Gold Super Duper Simply Stunning.

I've yet to use it. The Eagle1 carwash liquid I use(the funky red stuff), seems to do a great job of bringing back the showroom shine. Either that or the silver is too good at fooling me into complacency, hiding the fact that the car needs waxing big time.

Benitez = mmmmm....I'd wax her...legs, if she wanted

Time for a Snickers...

Actually, Elsa is a name I thought sounded like a good mix of elegance, uniqueness, and sex appeal. . . kinda like the TSX. I'm not really sure who Elsa Benitez is but doing a google search. . . . .she is hot.

I use Meg' #26. It is a great syn wax coat. But soon I am moving over to polymer protectant. It is more work to apply, but I think over all it is a better protectant then wax against the natural elements. I heard of the products called DRIVEN. It is a polymer sealant like Zaino... but it has teflon mixed into the product. Wax is good, but i dont think it will ever surpass polymers. but as for waxing Megs #26 is a good good wax... remmeber the tan bottle =D

I use Klasse on mine too. I even just got the Sonus detail spray that is supposed to help enhance Klasse's already amazing longevity and renew the klasse glaze shine, though I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

I'm waiting for a test between Blackfire, Klasse, and Zaino to see who wins that, both in protection and shine, though it would have to last months, maybe a year even to see which lasts the longest

Hey all,

I have a new TSX and it's too damn cold here to wax it yet. I bought Eagle One liquid wax/polish based on a friends recommendation.

Anyone have any experience with this? My friend swore by it.

I use this stuff called "Exotic Super Gloss" made by Granitize. Its Teflon fortified, and is a long lasting polymer made for especially for light colored cars. Has been doing the job for me for a long time.

I've never tried Zymöl but I heard good things about them. Appearance wise, it leaves the car very glossy and "wet-looking". However on the downside, the gloss and shine doesn't last very long.

Hey 04Euro, wow are you pretty!! That being said, I like meguiars wax. I'm an auto detailer, and throughout the years I've tried many products, and found meguiars to be the best. I also recommend using a clay bar before you wax. Also, it is best to wax every few months or whenever the water stops beading on the paint. Hope this helps!

I've only used Zymol on my TSX so far. I waxed it once and use the Detail Spray after washing. Looks great so far. I may bust out the Liquid Glass this Spring and see how that looks...had great luck with it on my other vehicles.

I've been using Blackfire on my Accord since last year and the only problem with it I see is the dust. Just have a car duster handy in the trunk.

Other than that, the stuff just stays on the car for months. I just put 3 coats on it before winter started and its still holding up perfect. What still beads up. Shines like a mutha. Blackfire in my book is a champion and its easy to use. Goes on easy and comes off with a quick buff.

Read more on it at www.autopia.org

So why has no one posted anything about Mothers...is it that bad. I use the reflections myself and I think it looks great. I have always gotten compliments on my cars shine! Maybe I should try something else?

I use 1Z glanz wax on my TSX, covered with the P21S Countours Carnauba. Glanz Wax is difficult to find, though I believe they have it at www.autopia.org and www.detailersparadise.com. I personally prefer it somewhat to Zaino. I think it has a better shine to it, lasts quite a while and is much, much easier to apply.
I'm not convinced that Glanz Wax lasts as long as Zaino, and it can't be layered, but it takes about 1/2 the time to apply. I can do the TSX in about 30 minutes beginning to end, so I generally redo it every other month and polish/clay/etc every 6 or 8 months.

The P21S countours is just the icing on the cake. It adds that wet gloss to the wax job. It's also quite easy to apply.

edit: One thing I will say about Zaino, I washed my dad's '01 Z3 that he's selling and thus rarely drives. And even though it hadn't been washed in at least a month, it cleaned up very well and very easily with the Zaino. I'm not entirely convinced Glanz Wax has that same quality as my car never actually goes that long without waxing.

Ok, how objective was this? Are there any other independent (non-commercial) sites that claim to have tested waxes in this sort of way? Other waxes, such as maguires, mothers, turtle, etc?

I am looking for one that is long lasting, relatively cheap and easy to apply. I am quite uninterested in spending time on detailing, but I am sick of needing a car wash every time it rains, and worrying about protecting my paint.

I am finding myself uncomfortably biased by this towards zaino, but I am reluctant to go through the pain of mail order if I can get something comparable and cheaper from canadian tire in 5 minutes on my way home.

Yup, I've used it. Put a coat on last September before it got too cold up here. Gonna apply again in early April. I used to use the natural stuff (carnauba based) but it doesn't last as long as the synthetic stuff.

Oh, that'll go over real well with the wife. I can just see it now. "Hey, honey, remember the HD big screen TV we were gonna get. Well, I got some car wax instead. Check out the shine on my TSX."

p.s. - And thats not PW its just common sense.
