TSX's first track day in HPDE

150K miles, all original automatic TSX.

Stock everything except the following:
TL-S rear swap bar
TL Aspec 18x8+45 wheels
Conti Extreme Contact Sport DWs 235/40R18
Hawk HPS 5.0 pads
Centric Cryo rotors
RBF600 brake fluid

Everything else, including bushings, springs, shocks, engine mounts, wheel bearings etc etc are all stock and in great condition still.

I did perform the following before:
Trans 3x3 flush (I do this every 20K miles)
Coolant fluid flushed
Brake fluid flushed
Oil change + S2K OEM filter

The car performed flawlessly. Both on the 200 mile trip to the track and back after the track. I reset the odo with a full tank of gas right before my first track session so I could calculate the average fuel economy and how many total miles I ran. After all six 20 minute sessions where over I had gathered 109.2 track-only miles and averaged around 8 MPG with a little less than 1/8th tank left! lol My top speed for the enitre event was a wimpy 106mph according to Harrys Lap Timer. Also according to Harry, my max geforce was 1.01 G's, my fastest lap was 1:49.95, and my average speed was 69.2mph! My laps were very consistent as in each session after the first 2 I ran anywhere from a 1:51 to a 1:52 lap time! That was very impressive for myself on this new track, for the car, and for my 1st HPDE event. I don't think with my set up I could be much faster as I was pretty smooth and balls to the wall each time. My instructor said I could probably go ahead into HPDE2 with more experience with traffic (passing and being passed) but we struggled to stay around cars.. I kept passing them and none could catch up to pass back! Other than traffic, she said I could be a little faster by braking later and harder but she said everyone brakes early when first starting out. Needless to say it was extremely fun. I learned a lot about my piggy automatic and where it's stock limits are at. I will say the car is like night and day between now and 2 weeks ago with my old ceramic brakes, warped rotors, all season tires, stock 17x7 bent wheels, and stock 15mm rear sway bar! The car is smoother, more agile and comfortable again with all the new upgrades and honestly maintenance that was needing to be done.

This likely will not be my last HPDE event with the TSX. I do think before I get more serious with this car I will invest in a high quality trans cooler, some good spring and shock combos (Eibach + Koni Yellow!), some front negative camber to help save my sidewalls, and some larger brakes all around and some lighter wheels. It's never going to be a track car or a fastest car, but it will be a damn good daily with some very capable aspects!

Again, I'll have videos posted once YouTube recovers. I've ran my car a few times at VIR for some charity laps, nothing too crazy or as fun as this was. The name of the track was NCCAR near Roanoke Rapids, NC. https://nccar.us/#nccar

My lap times

My friends 2018 WRX STI fastest laptime

My other friend, with the Green Camaro SS 1LE ran a 1:35.something, as usual.
