TSX impression after drive from VA - GA

After 6XX miles in one day i've noticed somethings in my car that i havent before.

pros:

1. I averaged 80-85 MPH and the car felt like it was going 40.
2. Good acceleration when swtiching lanes.
3. For the first time i felt how good the TSX was on cornering.
4. Great gas mileage.. (made it with 1.5 tank of gas)

Cons:
1. Loud road noise (althought alot was drowned out by CDplayer and intake)
2. Felt ever bump on the road for 10 hours.
3. Steering wheel shake when braking (probably rotors or pads)
4. Might be from the long drive but uncomfortable lumbar support..

Ill be heading up to VA tomorrow and hopefully ill learn more about the car on the way up.

My first road trip in the TSX gave me similar impressions. The car feels like it cruises at 80-85 easier than it does 55-60. Acceleration in 6th gear at those speeds is no problem at all--I never felt the need to downshift nor did I ever feel as though I didn't have enough torque.

The road noise from porous concrete (a favorite road surface material in NC, unfortunately) seems to intrude quite a bit in my TSX. Smooth asphault is muted much easier.

I sometimes feel like the lumbar support thing is pressing into my kidneys. I wish it were possible to completely relax that mechanism. The seatback in the passenger seat has no such support mechanism, and is much more comfortable for me over the long haul.

Nice to hear about your impressions. I did a road trip a while back GA to LA and averaged about 32 MPG

I'm a big guy, and I have to say I find the car to be very comfortable on long trips. Yeah, the ride can be a little busy over rougher surfaces, but I guess I've gotten used to it. The payoff is great cornering and I can definitely live with that

To me the seats are great, one of the best things about the car, but I guess it affects different people differently.
