06 TSX with 6 speed manual. I noticed a clunk when taking off from a stop and when shifting from 1/2. Was hoping it was an axle but the noise seems to come from the transmission. When jacked up, you can hear a loud noise when you wiggle the tire forward and backward. When I pulled the axle out, I could move the spline inside the tranny around and if I turn it back and forth, I can hear the noise. Any idea how bad this might be? A bearing, a gear, a total rebuild? I cant find a clear diagram of the transmission.
