Yeah, its a two-step process. Press the unlock button on the remote, open the driver's door then bend over and push down on the fuel-release lever on the floorboard. :P

"remote fuel filler door release" just means you can release the fuel filler door from a remote location such as next to the driver's seat (i.e. not at the filler door itself). It doesn't mean you can use the key fob to open the fuel filler door.

Thank you, this is the best I've seen on here. Had the office all looking at me as I laughed and laughed.

The TSX is great just as it is, why do we need more gadgets. I love just getting in and enjoying the pure pleasure of driving.

speaking of the fuel area... anyone else disappointed that the gas cap hangs down on the paint when filling?

Gas Cap

I think you can Clip it on the Inside of the fuel cover

I can't believe speedstr asked a question like that.

I was wondering and trying to find a place to clip it... I must need to spend more time playing with it so I can find how to clip it...

As far as the "where to hang the gas cap" question is concerned, even the owners manual doesn't make it really clear. This was covered in a topic some weeks ago, but if we need to go over it again, here goes.

Once the fuel filler door is opened, you'll see a little slot in the door itself, near the bottom. Once the filler cap is removed, you'll see a little "ball" hanging from the tether that's attached to the cap itself. Simply slip the little "ball" into the slot on the fuel filler door, and you've got a nice way to keep the cap away from the body of the car. It took me a while to get used to it, but now I really like it.

I had the same reaction, except nobody else is around to stare.

Do we still have that post-of-the-month thing going??? If so, I nominate idx's two-step process.

Heheh. Both the remote trunk release and the remote fuel filler door release "specs" refer to the lever on the floor next to the driver's seat. The word "remote" merely implies that you can release the mentioned items from a location other than itself, not necessarily from the key fob.

Some (cheaper) cars may just have a non-locking fuel filler door that doesn't have the remote release. Ditto for the trunk.. I think I've seen some that you have to use the key to unlock.. you can't pop the trunk from inside the car.

These are assumed to be standard features at this level, and I don't think you'll see Acura putting "remote fuel filler door" on a TSX billboard any time soon, but there's no harm in mentioning it on a complete features list.
