Noob asking for Expert Advice

Ok, just sold my 2002 Audi A4 and will be getting my 06 TSX this Tuesday. I am looking forward to the white.
My question is whether 18s or 19s are better for the car. With an Audi the 19s were always an issue. I've had a number of bends, and cracks. I went through 2 sets of 19s.
I was wondering if that is something I can expect with how the road conditions in Southern Cal.
Also what suspension is good for the TSX? Maybe coilovers?
Is the A-Spec worth it? I hate to spend all that money to throw another thousand into decent wheels and tires.
Ok, thanks guys. I look forward to posting on this site.

19" looks better, 18" is too small but lighter than 19" (if you care about performance wise) or you can pick forged wheels that have way better strength and weight than cast aluminum.

Hmm.. my friend doesnt have any problem with 19" on his B6 audi.

Tein, Tanabe have coilovers for TSX app..

Edit : Actually I have 2 friends who r running 20" on b6 without a single problem.

19's looks better but if you want something safe route then go with 18's. I seen plenty of 18's and looked good so whatever fits for your taste. I think A-spec isn't worth every buck for me. I rather save some money and go with Tein SS. I only heard good things about them. I'm waiting for spring to come around so I can buy my suspension and some 19's.

18s shouldn't be a problem, but with the amount of driving I do for snowboarding things are bound to come up. I am sure I am at fault, but rarely do I hear those with 18s have such probelms. Thanks for the replies. So what can I expect to pay for TEIN coilovers, and is there ever a group buy?
Thanks again guys.
