Angry My TSX's first battle damage :-(

upon getting home today i realized I now have in my bumper two small bolt holes from wehre some jackass hit me in a parkinglot/ pakred on a street It's from where there front plate was bolted on...can tell because of another 2 teeny scratches in rectangular form. FOr this with experience can such thing be repaired or do they usually have to sand and repaint the entire bumper and how much does that run???

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

It can be repaired, I got rear ended twice with a light bump, and got the same bolt marks. It will cost about $250 bucks (less if you know someone at the shops).
They'll have to sand, putty, and then paint the area, but not the whole bumper.
You might want to get them to feather any other areas on the bumper, while they're at it.

That sucks! Someone did the same to my new (back then) 3000GT in the parking lot at Shea Stadium. In my case the guy was still parked there! Lucky my bro had a box cutter...a nice, inconvienent flat took care of that!

To really take care of it, it should cost you around $650-$850 depending on the shop.

Damn tinky... that sucks...

but cheer up... its just the bumper.

Bumpers can be repaired SUPER easily... and fairly cheaply... and they always come out looking factory.

Be happy it wasnt any of the metal panels!!!

thanks for the tips guys -- yeah i'm stoked it was the bumper -- the material is fair flexible and it's just plastic. I figure i'll have someone sand/putty/paint it. I know it's a bumper and i don' tneed it to look perfect forever since bumps happen but i'm not down with having a little bolt indent in my bumper! If you weren't checking out the car you wouldn't notice it so i'll get a quote from a few places. I wonder how much a brand new bumper is...
